The Asia-Pacific Applied Economics Association (APAEA) was founded in 2017. The APAEA's key aim is to provide a forum and resource base for developing research capacity of researchers in the Asia-Pacific region. The APAEA's aim is supported by the regions central banks and other financial institutions. The APAEA aims to collaborate with: (a) policy makers in the region to enhance public policy and its impact; and (b) universities in the region to jointly host conferences and workshops associated with special issues of respected field journals.
The APAEA is governed by a committee (President, Vice-Presidents, Treasurer, and Secretary) and holds its annual meetings in JULY of each year.
Interested researchers and institutions are encouraged to join the Association by attending one of its conferences or by applying to the association for membership. Members of the APAEA will receive a range of benefits.
